Yale-New Haven Medical Center is a nationally recognized Level
I Trauma Center. Most complex trauma occurring in southern Connecticut
is triaged to Yale, and the institution serves as a tertiary
referral center post-traumatic reconstruction for southern New
England. The Orthopaedic Trauma Service is lead by Michael R.
Baumgaertner, M.D., FACS and is comprehensively supported by
numerous orthopaedic and surgical subspecialties.
